Albania participated in COTTM 2015 international tourism fair, organized in Beijing on April 14th-16th. Our country was represented by the National Tourism Agency, four tour-operators and successful private touristic agencies (Key Tours Albania, Albtours D, Intours Albania and ATHS)
This was the first time that Albania became part of the COTTM tourism fair in China and the Albanian stent attracted not only Chinese visitors.
The National Tourism Agency has attended various business meetings and has presented the touristic potential and the touristic packages that Albania offers to thousands of visitors and potential tourists.
The agency has provided detailed information on the Albanian touristic potentials to Chinese news sites and televisions in the Chinese languages. In the line of promoting Albania as a touristic destination, the National Tourism Agency is working with the Albania’s embassy to Beijing in organizing a short tour of 15 Chinese journalists to Albania on May of June of this year. The initiative comes as a new strategy of the agency in promoting the touristic potential of Albania to potential Chinese tourists.
Statistics on Chinese tourists for 2014 showed that about 107 millions of Chinese people visited different destinations throughout the world, a figure increased by 20% compared to 2013.
