Awaking in the Albanian beauty Mountains!
" The valley of Kelmend lies in the northern Albania between the mountain peaks of Malësi e Madhe. It represents a unique place providing adventurous people not only majestic landscapes and uncontaminated nature, but also an incredible opportunity to discover the ancient traditions. It is still surrounded by the warm and traditional hospitality of the local families. During the summer festivals, the valley is crowded by people coming from all over the country and from foreign visitors. The local people dressing the hand-made traditional costumes dance under the sounds of çiftelia and lahuta. Do not miss the typical products and dishes, such as cheese, jardun (goat's milk mixed during cooking in water), ferlik (skewered meat), donuts with honey, baked trout of Cem river, plum raki, and many others. The new tourist information centre of Tamara will assist in booking an accommodation in the simple and welcoming family-run guest houses and it will provide the material regarding the local mountains trails. Furthermore local guides will assist you during the wonderful hiking and horse trekking.
