Tourism Expected To Surge In Albania In 2012

By Lucy Culpepper, Editor, Overseas Retirement Letter
Tourism levels in Albania are anticipated to surge over the next 12 months. Albania is in southern Europe, directly east of the heel of Italy’s “boot,” with shores on both the Adriatic and Ionian Sea. With some of the lowest property prices in Europe, especially at the high end of the market, Albania has become an interesting location for property developers.
Plentiful low-cost accommodation translates into more vacationers, which in turn is set to open up the country to overseas investment. The Albanian government is actively investing in the country’s infrastructure and encouraging the construction of high-end property resorts in a bid to attract greater investment from overseas nationals.
